The SmartHandle AX Advanced is available as a smart door handle in a wide range of variants with wide and narrow covers and in different colors – each to suit your installation situation. Combining the desired exterior with the matching interior creates countless possibilities.

Our SmartHandle AX Advanced is available in the following variants:
K1 - Mounting on drillings for oval escutcheons
L1 - Mounting on drillings for round escutcheons
M1 - Protective Fitting (ES3) for mounting on long shield drillings
N1 - Mounting on short-/long shield drillings
N2 - Mounting on long shield drillings (FR195/ SH3062 conventional assembly)
N3 - Mounting on long shield drillings (105/145)
P1 - Mounting on Scandinavian Oval profile
A4 - For adaption to panic bars
Please select a variant to obtain further information and create a sample configuration:
K1 - Mounting on drillings for oval escutcheons

- Narrow and wide covers available for the electronics side
- Oval rosette for the inside
- The inside and outside are screwed onto the door, not through the door (application for tubular frame doors)
- A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue doors
- .FH is only possible with 8 mm or 9 mm square spindle and as a complete fitting
- 7 mm lever square spindle is not possible
- FSB levers on the inside must be used with an FSB oval rosette
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to install an FSB lever

- Mounting on distance holes 50 mm vertically around the spindle and the PZ opening

- Available in .DS / double-sided reading
- To do this, order the outside as usual (without inside and without inside handle)
- Additionally, order the same fitting for the inside with the addition .DS
- .DS currently only available for PZ72, PZ92, and SR94

- Round rosette set for the inside
- A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue doors

- FSB handles on the inside must be used with an FSB round rosette set
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to install an FSB handle

- Mounting on distance holes 38 mm horizontally around the lock nut and the PZ opening

M1 - Protective Fitting (ES3) for mounting on long shield drillings

- For doors with protection class up to RC4
- Cover only available in narrow version on both sides
- Cannot be ordered without inner side
- The .FH option cannot be ordered
- Screws are fastened through the door
- A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue routes
- This variant must always be used with an equivalent locking cylinder in order to meet the burglary protection class
- Locks with split lock nuts must not be used
- FSB handles on the inside must be mounted with the adapter S3.ADAPTER.FSB.2.8 (8 mm) or S3.ADAPTER.FSB.2.9 (9 mm)
- Cover on the inside is mandatory
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to mount an FSB handle

- Screw fixing: center (21.5 mm below lock nut), bottom (138 mm below lock nut), and top (88 mm above lock nut)
- Center screw fixed with M6 screw, top and bottom screws fixed with M8 screws

- Cover available in narrow and wide versions on both sides
- Cannot be ordered without inner side, as otherwise no handle holder will be supplied

- FSB handles on the inside must be mounted with the adapter S3.ADAPTER.FSB.2.8 (8 mm) or S3.ADAPTER.FSB.2.9 (9 mm)
- Cover on the inside is mandatory
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to mount an FSB handle

- Screw fixing for short plate holes: centered (21.5 mm below the lock nut) and below the PZ cut-out (112 mm below the lock nut)

- Screw fixing for long plate holes: center (21.5 mm below lock nut) and top (84 mm above lock nut)

N2 - Mounting on long shield drillings (FR195/ SH3062 conventional assembly)

- Narrow and wide covers available on both sides; please note that there is a visible plate around the cover on the outside
- Cannot be ordered without the inside, as otherwise no handle mount will be supplied
- A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue doors
- FH is only available with an 8 mm or 9 mm square spindle and as a complete fitting
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to install an FSB handle.
- FSB adapter for the new, flatter inside expected to be available from December 2025.

- Screw fixing for FR195: top (65 mm above lock nut) and bottom (130.5 mm below lock nut)
- Screw fixing for SH 3062 conventional installation: top (71 mm above lock nut) and bottom (130.5 mm below lock nut)
- A third sleeve is supplied for an optional screw in the middle.

- From mid-October 2025 with the new, flatter inner side
- Changes in assembly with new inner plate and new inner cover
- New FSB adapter for flatter inner cover expected to be available from December 2025

N3 - Mounting on long shield drillings (105/145)

- Only available with narrow cover
- The mounting plate on the outside is larger than the cover and therefore clearly visible
- An adhesive rosette is supplied for the inside with MO, which can be optimally positioned around the lock cylinder
- Cannot be ordered without the inside, as otherwise no handle holder will be supplied
- A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue doors
- .FH is only available with 8 mm or 9 mm square spindle and as a complete fitting
- FSB handles on the inside must be used in conjunction with FSB oval rosettes
- For the outside, order item S3.FSB.ADAPTER to install an FSB handle

- Screw fixing: top (105 mm above lock nut) and bottom (145 mm below lock nut)

- There are no blind cylinders for Scandinavian Oval

- Narrow and wide covers available for the electronics side
- Panic bar for the inside is sourced from a third-party supplier
- Mounting plate is visible all around
- Two panic bar options:
- With inner plate (*PS*)
- Without inner plate (*PO)
- Approval for individual panic bar models from BKS, EcoSchulte, and CISA
- Models must be checked on a case-by-case basis
(Note approval lists from panic bar supplier; door thickness X not possible for CISA) - A 9 mm square spindle must always be used for escape and rescue routes
- FH only applies with 8 mm or 9 mm square spindle / FH approval also without internal handle here

Adaptation to panic bars with narrow inner plate *PS*
- PS72: Holes 21.5 mm and 112 mm below the lock nut
(standard drilling pattern for short plate fastenings) - PS92: Holes 21.5 mm and 135 mm below the lock nut
- No inner side of SimonsVoss

Adaptation to panic bars with narrow plate for installation with oval rosette *PO*
- Drill holes: 21.5 mm below the lock nut and 50 mm spacing holes vertically around the PZ opening for oval rosettes
(oval rosette is not screwed through, but screwed onto the door) - For the inside, order rosette with or without lock cylinder opening

Adaptation to panic bars with wide inner plate *PS*
- PS72: Holes 21.5 mm and 112 mm below the lock nut
(standard hole pattern for short plate fastenings) - PS92: Holes 21.5 mm and 135 mm below the lock nut
- No inner side of SimonsVoss

Adaptation to panic bars with wide shield for installation with round rosette *PO*
