The FORTLOX Cylinder from the FORTLOX Series system provides reliable security across a variety of use cases and is specifically designed for infrequently used areas where secure protection is essential. Suitable applications include power stations and distribution networks, airports, ports and rail networks, hospitals and critical healthcare infrastructure, IT & data centres, military bases, major chemical production sites and nuclear sites. All FORTLOX Cylinders are operated with the FORTLOX Key.

Secure, robust & durable
in accordance with DIN EN 15684, the FORTLOX Cylinder achieves the highest certification level: durability, fire and smoke resistance, environmental resistance, access authorisation security, system management and attack resistance.
Weatherproof
The standard version of the FORTLOX Cylinder has IP54 protection and can be used reliably at extreme operating temperatures, ranging from -25 °C to +65 °C. A dust- and waterproof version (WP) with IP67 is also available. For additional protection against insects and foreign particles, the Extreme Protection (EP) version can be specified.
Reusable & freely programmable
The FORTLOX Cylinder and Key are not produced for a specific system, making them flexible, reusable and reprogrammable at any time.
Maintenance-free
The battery-free cylinder is powered by the key. No on-site battery replacement is required. Regular cleaning is sufficient to maintain functionality if the cylinder becomes dirty.
Suitable for fire doors and escape doors
Approved for fire doors up to T90; fire/smoke protection doors in accordance with DIN EN 15684, Class B. Also suitable for escape doors compliant with DIN EN 179 and EN 1125.
Straightforward installation
Thanks to its design, the thumb-turn-free FORTLOX Cylinder can be used as a replacement for conventional mechanical locking cylinders. Its modular structure allows it to be customised for every installation.
Protected against damage
The thumb-turn-free cylinder has no projection – a major advantage in situations where a thumb-turn could be damaged. Integrated drill protection safeguards the actuator electronics and cylinder profile against external attacks.

The right variant for different requirements
Installation conditions at technical infrastructure facilities, public buildings and large corporate sites can vary significantly from one area to another. With its different variants, the FORTLOX Cylinder is suitable for both standard doors and confined installations such as cable distribution cabinets, EV charging stations, transformer substations and vending machines.
▶ Euro profile double cylinder
The double cylinder can be installed in both interior and exterior doors. It is available as a CD variant (one side readable, dummy on the inside) and a CB variant (one side readable, blind on the inside).
▶ Euro profile half cylinder
The half cylinder is suitable for interior and exterior doors accessible from only one side. It is also ideal for cupboards, garage doors or for installation in swing handles.
▶ Scandinavian Oval Profile
In addition to the Euro profiles, the FORTLOX Cylinder is also available as a Scandinavian Oval variant where required for installation. Like the other FORTLOX Cylinders, it can be installed indoors or outdoors.
▶ Lever cylinder
The intelligent lever cylinder now offers enhanced security and flexibility. It can be installed indoors and outdoors and is suitable for applications such as lockers, letterboxes, control cabinets, glass cabinets, vending machines and ticket machines.
Comparison of EP version and standard/WP version
The EP option differs from the standard or WP versions due to its additional, visible cylinder protection.
